Many years later, a spaceship filled with the last humans fleeing a dying Earth arrives to the planet. The humans have been told the planet has been prepped for them, but there’s a whole alien civilization down there, and it’s not what anyone was ready for.
Children of Time is clever, fast-paced, and wildly entertaining. I had a great time reading it.
Recommendation: Read it! Strongly recommended. Good space opera fare.

Read it! and saw the ending coming but certainly, the storytelling pulled me along.
An instant classic to me, a truly amazing book! The "aliens" are absolutely fascinating and teach us humans a big lesson. Reading "The Three-Body Problem" now but after that one I will happily go back to this awesome universe to read "Children of Ruin".
I really enjoyed this book. Children of ruin is just as good. Can't wait for the third book.
This and Children of Ruin is on my TBR pile. The Tchaikovsky books I have read has made him my go to author.
