Review: Artemis by Andy Weir

Artemis by Andy WeirArtemis isn’t as good as The Martian, but it’s pretty close. Author Andy Weir kept what was great about The Martian: hard science, humor, and a charmingly sarcastic protagonist.

It takes a little while for the story to get going, but it’s the best depiction of a lunar colony I’ve ever read.

Artemis is about a young, super-smart but lazy criminal on the moon goes for a major score and immediately gets in way over her head. Clever scheming, problem-solving, and the occasional explosion keep this book entertaining.

Recommendation: Buy it. Also, get The Martian if you haven’t yet. I’m hoping to display a number of future Weir bestsellers on my bookshelf.
